Meteor WaterSki Club

Whether you are a member of the Club, hoping to become a member or would like to find out more about water skiing, slalom skiing, wakeboarding or trick skiing near Belfast, County Down, you should find all the information you need on our website.

Our club season runs from early April until the end of October on our own private lake, Lough Henney, near Boardmills in County Down, about 20 minutes drive south of Belfast.  Our facilities can be rented by non-members outside of regular club hours, for details see the Bookings page.

Special Club Membership Promotion for Juniors (Posted 20 June)

The Club is offering a promotional "discounted membership” specifically aimed at the junior membership category in conjunction with the Children's Day event. This is a time limited opportunity to apply, with the promotion running from now until the 30th of June and capped at a maximum of 15 Junior memberships for this offer. Any candidate must be proposed by a current 2023 Meteor member and memberships would be available on a first come first served basis, with the application being made using the Meteor website membership form here  and payment of £50 received by 1st July. Each accepted new junior member shall also receive two free ski tickets with a value of £20.

Women in Sport discounted Skiing - 1 to 31 July, By arrangement

An opportunity for female non-members, adults and juniors, to try the sport. Further details can be found here.

Club Fun Day - Friday 7 July 2023

This is the first of our two club fun events this season, running from *5pm until dusk*. It’s an evening for all club members, their families, and Meteor invited guests to meet at the club for a barbecue (bring your own food), get to know each other better, and have some fun on the water trying a variety of activities including barefoot, trick, double up skiing, two ski tricks, kneeboard, wakeboard, disc with chair skiing, and just about anything else you want to try.

There is no need to book, just turn up. So why not put the date in your diary now.

The event is *free* for all members, their family and Meteor invited guests.

Review - Children’s Day - Saturday 24 June 2023 (Posted 25 June)

With sunshine and warm water, thirteen young visitors enjoyed a great day water skiing at the club. The event ran from 10 am with coaches on hand to ensure everyone learned new water ski skills. Some photographs can be viewed here.
