Meteor 2024 AGM 10 March 2025 (updated 25/03/25)

2025 season starting soon! (updated 25/03/25)
As the days are getting longer and warmer, the club board are starting to plan the 2025 activities and get the club ready for another season of fun on the water. Soon, members will receive their invitation to rejoin for 2025, and the boat will be back on the water in April when we look forward to seeing all our previous and new members.

Replacement of old pontoon (updated 27/03/25)
Today, the last parts of the old pontoon were removed in preparation for the installation of the new reinforced plastic pontoon.

2025 Fees and Charges (updated 28/03/25)
Good news for 2025. The club is able to keep the 2025 fees and charges the same as last year. Existing members will receive their renewal invitations shortly.​

New jetty construction (updated 10/04/25)
The new pontoon has been added to the new jetty walkway and is ready for the 2025 ski season. A big thank you to the members who contributed to this project over the last year and in particular Barry and Robert who organised the removal of the old jetty, designed the new jetty, sourced the components and assembled the structure.

Boat back on the water (updated 10/04/25)​
The boat is now back on the water ready for the ski season to begin. The water is currently 15c, cool, but skiable. So, if you haven’t already, get the ski gear dusted down and get ready to hit the lake.
To arrange a ski, before the driver rota starts in May, just contact one of the drivers or post a message on the members WhatsApp group.

The new season has started! (updated 02/05/25)
With the ski season now officially started the driver rota begins on Tuesday 6 May. The driver will be at the lake on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18.45, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 13.45.
Outside of these times contact any of the drivers to arrange a ski time.
The Meteor 2025 calendar, which contains the driver rota, can be viewed in the Members area of the website.

Tricks League (01/07/25)
Get ready to showcase your skills at the Tricks League 2025, kicking off this June at Meteor Waterski Club! This league is open to all male and female trick skiers, regardless of ability, and offers multiple chances to achieve a personal best. With three remote rounds throughout the summer (June 30-July 6, July 21-27, and August 18-24), plus the Nationals in Cork from July 11-13, you'll have plenty of opportunities to compete. Each remote round gives you two sets to prove your prowess. Don't miss out – make sure you have a full year license from IrWWF.com before you take to the
water!

Slalom League comes to Meteor on 2nd August (22/07/25)
Get ready to hit the water on Saturday, 2nd August 2025, for the next thrilling round of the Irish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation Slalom League. This highly anticipated event welcomes skiers of all abilities, from those just starting out, to seasoned slalom skiers. You can ski on one ski or two skis, sit ski, wakeboard or kneeboard, with or without entry gates, mini course or full course, the choice is yours. It promises to be a day packed with fun for everyone. So put the date in your diary and come and enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere as Ireland's waterskiing community gathers for a fantastic day on the lake!
To compete you must hold a IrWWF license which can be purchased here.
Standard entry fee: £85/€100 for three rounds if paid on Saturday 2nd August.
Special discounts: if payment is made online before 21:00 on Friday 1st August.
