Fishing on Lough Henney

Lough Henney is a private lough, owned, and operated by Meteor Waterski Club Ltd (MWSC).

 

• Lough Henney is a private lake owned by Meteor Water Ski Club Ltd and fishing from boats or other craft is not permitted at any time. 
   

• Meteor Water Ski Club Ltd does not permit fishing from the jetty or slipway area. These are private and owned by the club. 
   

• Fishing may be permitted on other land based areas around the lake, as long as this does not interfere with club activities, permission by those intending to fish should be sought from the land owner and no rubbish or items should be left behind.

Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) coarse rod licence holders can fish DAERA coarse waters for freshwater fish species (except salmon, brown trout and rainbow trout) by rod and line or hand line.

However, if you wish to fish in any of the private loughs, you require the permission of the lough owner.
