Due to entrant numbers received by midnight on Thursday night short of what we expected the Meteor 3 Event Personal Best Competition this weekend will be shortened to one day. The weather forecast is showing Sunday as being remarkably windless so the competition will take place from 9am on Sunday.

As before registration and payment will be at 9am with the first skier starting at 9:30am. The jump and slalom courses have now been homologated and the medic will still be in attendance for the jump competition.

The Annual Meteor 3 Event competition will see skiers from all over the country display their skills in Slalom, Jump and Tricks on Saturday and Sunday 7-8th August.

As a 'personal best' tournament with very reasonable entry fees we hope to encourage those who might not have competed before to come and share in the thrill of competing alongside the regular competitors on the island of Ireland.

Prices are
- Slalom: £20
- Trick: £20
- Jump: £20
- All three events: £50
Payment will be made on arrival on Saturday morning (however we would appreciate receiving notice of intent, see 'Entry Form' section below, by midnight on Thursday).

Format
The competition will be a Personal Best 3 Event Competition with two rounds for each event run over two days.

Friday Practice
Practice sets will be available to competitors from 2pm on Fri 6th August with regular ski-club rates applying (£6 per ski).

Start Time
Registration and payment will be at 9am on Saturday with competition starting at 9:30. Sunday’s start time will depend on numbers.

Official Recognition
We aim to have full homologation of our courses so competition results will be officially recognised. Keep an eye on this webpage for confirmation.

Entry Form
No pre-entry is required for this competition but in order to estimate numbers (both for competition planning and catering) we would appreciate it if you could please indicate your intent to enter by downloading the entry form by clicking here , then editing it in Word, saving it and attaching it to an email to secretary@meteorwaterski.com by midnight on Thursday.

Saturday Night
Interest in a Saturday night event will be gauged on the day so might be best to pack some glad rags!
